Ejura Divisional Council: Let’s Fight Coronavirus Together To Save Lives

On the 16th day of March 2020, Ejura Divisional Council under the leadership of Barima Osei Hwedie II, Ejurahene  sent notice to all media houses within the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality  to intensify campaign for personal hygiene in line with measures announced  by the Ministry of Health and to also ensure strict compliance with the directives outlined by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, towards combating the coronavirus pandemic.

Barima Osei Hwedie II, Ejurahene and his elders have also put the following measures in place as part of efforts to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in Ejura and its environs.  Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed at the following key locations: Namely,

The Ejurahene´s palace,

The Ejurahene’s private residence

And the Ejurahemaa’s residence

Visitors to the palace must note that, hand-shaking is temporary forbidden and social distancing must be highly respected.

All visitors to those places are advised to clean their hands before and after any engagement at those areas. The Council further wishes to remind all persons within the Division to adhere to the directives by the President of the Republic to suspend funerals, weddings, religious gathering activities such as church service and moslem worship and all other forms of social gathering. Funerals include the observance of one week celebration and the Islamic ‘Adua’.
